About Us

We want all parents at Harrington Sound Primary School  to feel they have a voice in their child’s school experience. Our goal is to keep parents and guardians informed on issues and programs concerning the education, health, and welfare of children and families.

• Membership. We are a membership organization promoting the welfare of all children, including yours. Membership is open to any parent, grandparent, guardian, teacher, or community supporter.
• Meetings.  Meetings may include presentations on parenting or schoolwork, discussions of issues at Harrington Sound Primary School, or just friendly social gatherings.
• Stay tuned to the Harrington Sound Primary School PTA Newsletters and updates to find out when the next meeting will be held.
• The Harrington Sound Primary School Fund. Our fundraising arm, the Harrington Sound Primary School PTA, helps cushion the school against the Ministry’s budget shortfalls, so it can maintain its diverse programs and academic excellence.
• Community Events. Harrington Sound Primary School PTA organizes meetings, field trips, special assemblies, enrichment activities for kids and parents, and social and cultural events to allow our families to spend time together and enjoy our strong community.

Mission & Vision

The Mission of the Harrington Sound Primary School PTA is to encourage and support a positive school experience for all children. We provide an open forum where families, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults can discuss ways to promote quality education and encourage community involvement. We work to create a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring school environment that encourages each child to reach his or her academic potential. We are advocates for programs and policies that support all of our children and public education. We do this by sponsoring and funding programs, recruiting and mentoring volunteers, and advocating for educational excellence in our district, state, and nation.
